Pinterest Fail Redo

Did you catch our first #PinterestFail? We made attempted to make Cranberry Habanero Brie Bites but we didn’t follow the directions very carefully. We accidentally used fillo dough instead of puff pastry…opps.

Let me start by saying that I’m so glad we tried again. These. Were. Delicious. We found this recipe on Pinterest with over 11,000 pins. The original recipe was for Cranberry Brie Bites but we decided to be resourceful and use the Cranberry Habanero jelly that we made for our very first post. I have to say that it was a good decision. The spice that was added from the habanero was perfect. Don’t hesitate to make this recipe yours but keep it simple, that’s one of the biggest bonuses of this recipe! Give it a try, they’re pretty yummy.

Gold Confetti without a doubt.

Total Price: $18.58

  • 1 package (17 1/4 ounces) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1/2 lb Brie cheese
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (substituted cranberry jelly)
  • (optional) Habanero Jelly

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Unfold one sheet of the puff pastry sheets and use a knife to cut the sheet into evenly shaped squares. These will be placed into a muffin pan to make cups that will hold your brie and jelly. I was able to get 12 squares out of one sheet and was pretty happy with the size. After you have cut your squares, place one in each of the muffin cups making sure that the puff pastry goes up the edges to make a mini bowl. Next cube your Brie cheese and place one or two cubes in each muffin cup. Then top the brie with one or two tablespoons of the cranberry jelly. Bake for 10 minutes or until the puff pastry’s edges are light brown. Let your treats cool down before eating. Cranberry Habanero Brie Bites
